In Loving Memory of Millie Phillips Kevit

Millie Phillips Kevit, 81, died on January 31, 2010 in Suffolk, VA. Formerly from Philadelphia, PA, Cherry Hill, NJ and Williamsburg, VA.

Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Vlade and James Phillips.

Millie attended Girls High School in Philadelphia, PA. and began her work career at the Philadelphia Savings Fund Society (PSFS) and was retired as an Administrative Assistant for the Virtua Hospital system in South Jersey. She was Editor of the Catholic Voice in Camden County, NJ and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She loved music and was a member of numerous church choirs. She was a lifetime learner, returning to school later in life, earning her Associate’s degree from Thomas A. Edison State College.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, William J (Bill) Kevit; two daughters, Diana K. Kregiel, husband Carl of Suffolk, VA; Barbara K. Blankenship, husband Don of Richmond, VA; a son, William A. (Bill) Kevit, wife Dru of Springfield, VA; granddaughters, Amanda and Elizabeth Kregiel; grandsons Zack and Conor Kevit.

Funeral Mass will be conducted 10:00 am, Saturday, February 6th, 2010 at the Church of St. Therese, 4137 Portsmouth Blvd, Chesapeake VA 23321. There will be a reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Condolences may be registered at www.rwbakerfh.com.

Our sincere sympathy to Bill and family. Millie was very special person to us and we know she meant alot to everyone she met. When we think of Millie we remember her wonderful smile and laughter, her friendliness in welcoming us to Voorhees, her friendship while we lived in Voorhees. Just a wonderful person.
