Joan B. Fritzinger
Joan Blair Fritzinger, 79, of Banister River Reach, died Feb. 18, 2010 in her home. Mrs. Fritzinger, a native of Troy, N.Y., was the widow of Dale Fritzinger. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Portsmouth.
Survivors include her three children, Susan Fritzinger of Portsmouth, Nancy F. Clements and husband Jimmy of Portsmouth, Tom Fritzinger and wife Diane of Goochland County, Virginia; a sister, Shirley Johnson of North Troy, N.Y.; a brother, Eugene Blair and wife Carol of Troy, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Elaine Linder of Syracuse, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Jeffrey and Elizabeth Clements and Melanie Harris; and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, by the Rev. Michael G. Boehling. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
