Earl McCoy Billups

Earl McCoy Billups, 78, of Suffolk, VA passed away Monday, May 3, 2021. He was the son of the late Linwood and Mary Alice Billups. He is predeceased by his first wife, Mable U. Billups and six siblings and a grandson, Travis Powell.

Mr. Billups retired from VDOT in 2005. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family and his dog, Cricket.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Betty W. Billups; three children, Robert Earl Billups (Terri) of Wakefield, VA, Daniel McCoy Billups (Carlene) of Wakefield, VA, and Wanda B. White (Charles) of Gates Co., NC, along with a brother, Frank Billups of Belhaven, NC; sister, Virginia Rawls; three grandchildren, Drew, Shelby, Garrett Billups and a great grandson, Brantley Powell.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 2 PM in the Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral and Crematory Suffolk, VA is serving the family. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.

So sorry I cant be there with you to celebrate Uncle Earls life. We know he has a lot of relatives to greet him in heaven. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Uncle Earl and I were born close together so I will always remember him as a playmate. Gone but not forgotten........
