Ernestine Blowe Leicester, 91, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Wayland and Betty Blowe. She is predeceased by her husband, Stanley Leicester; son, Woody Curle and her brothers, Lawrence Blowe, Harvey Blowe and LeRoy Blowe and a sister, Estelle Lewis.
Mrs. Leicester was a hard working lady. Even after her retirement from Lakeview Medical Clinic after 40 years, she stayed busy. In her younger years, she worked at the J.C. Penny in downtown Suffolk as a window dresser and in the women’s department. She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda Motley of Suffolk, VA, Brenda Barker of Murfreesboro, NC and Ernie Curle (Karen) of Franklin, VA; 7 grandchildren, Diane Motley Stephenson, Jerry Wayne Motley, Jr., Ed Motley, Sherrie Brown, Brad Vann, Jason Curle and Kelly Spears and12 great grandchildren; along with her sisters, Ethel B. Fanney and Mary Ellen Motley; brother, J.T. Blowe and sisters-in-law, Pat Blowe and Mary Alice Blowe; three step-children.
A private graveside service will be held in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com

Dad, so sorry for your loss. I have wonderful memories of her, from my childhood especially. Im glad she is no longer in pain. May she Rest In Peace.

Im so sorry for your loss. I remember your mom fondly from J.C. Penneys. She took me under her wing and made me feel a part of the team. She was always kind and understanding. A true lady who is remembered with love.
