Fran Askew Soyez

Fran Askew Soyez, 94 passed away peacefully while sleeping on April 23, 2020. She was born August 15, 1925 in Milwaukee, N.C. to John and Belle Askew.

 She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Soyez of Portsmouth, Va. and her daughter, Connie Haywood Brown of Sunrise, Fla.

She is survived by her son, George Haywood and his wife Sherry of Jacksonville, N.C., several grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews, a granddog, and many friends who all loved her very much.

During the majority of her adult life Fran had a successful career as the Resident Manager of a number of large apartment complexes in the Portsmouth area where she touched many lives in that capacity.  She will be missed by all.
