John M. Yoksza

John M. Yoksza, III, 51, passed away September 6, 2020, after a long courageous fight with cancer.  John was a longtime resident of Suffolk.

 He graduated from Tabb High School, Yorktown, VA, and later served his country by joining the Army and deployed to Kuwait during the Iraq War.  John was a gentle giant with a gentle soul.  He loved his German Shepherd, Buddy, his constant companion. Besides serving in the military, John was a licensed Med Tech, well versed in computers, and an avid target shooter.

John is survived by his mother, Adeline; father, John Jr.; and sister, Betty Titus.

A funeral service with military honors will be held at 12 PM on Monday,  September 14, at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, with internment at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.RWBakerFH.com

My deepest condolences for the loss, we knew John for over a year through a mutual interest in computer gaming. He was a generous person that touched us all with his kindness. We will miss him and may he rest in peace as he so deserves.
