Raymond A. Cuccherini

Raymond A. Cuccherini went to be with Our Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2021, surrounded by his family.  He was the son of the late, Daniel Cuccherini and Mary Ann Daggers.

Raymond grew up in Gouldsboro, PA where he was a founding member of the Gouldsboro Volunteer Fire Department.  He later served in the US Army Reserves and then joined the Washington, DC Fire Department, where he served for over 22 years.  Raymond was also a current member of the Retired Firefighter's Association in Washington, DC.

“Pa”, as he was called by his children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter, was a hard worker that was always willing to help anyone in need.  But, with all of that hard work, “Pa” knew how to have fun, spending much of his time with his family and treasuring the time he got to spend with them, as they were the most important thing to him.  He always said "don't sweat the small stuff."  And, even in his final days, he had a smile on his face and laughed at the little things that might make others crazy and frustrated.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Brenda Cuccherini; daughter, Carolyn; son, Mike; four grandchildren, Chrissy, Beth, Ray, and Julia and a great granddaughter, Maxine.

R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, Suffolk is serving the family. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
